The Mavericks are establishing a new tradition this year. The player who most exemplifies our team’s core tenets – toughness, commitment, resiliency, determination, teamwork, character, and intensity – for any given week will win the Golden Gerka award. The award will be given on the first day of practice for the week. The winner will get to wear a gold jersey all week at practice that I will provide, he will automatically be a Captain that week, and he will lead all of our breaks. The first Golden Gerka will be awarded on Monday, August 2nd and the competition is sure to be heated, so come to practice ready to work and maybe you can win. Good Luck!!
